a science fiction film

My first new short film in awhile. All the people were out of the house and I was feeling useless, which is the perfect time to make work involving audio, if you’re me.

People are still in surprise over Glenn Danzig’s two feature films being deeply, intentionally silly movies. An anthology of daydream vignettes and a cowboy vampire western heavily in the tv oater mode of the 1960s. But, one of the things Danzig said about his film work is that he didn’t want to upset anybody.

We get weird and precious about filmmakers, filmmaking, and it gets hard for us to remember that Ingmar Bergman mostly made horror and comedy. The presence of Death of The Seventh Seal in Last Action Hero is not that far from how the character is, in tone, in The Seventh Seal.

Some things are nigh impossible to parody. Some things are only parody and parody alone.

I made this because I was alone, but because the dogs were here, and the cats clunking around upstairs, so I was not.
